Our Materials Calculator is on the way. Soon, you’ll be able to quickly estimate how much paint, timber, fabric, or other supplies you need before you head to the store.
One of the hardest parts of DIY is knowing how much to buy. Too little means extra trips to the shops; too much means wasted money and leftover materials.
The Materials Calculator will help you get those numbers right from the start. You’ll be able to plug in a few measurements and get a simple, practical estimate for common projects.
Planned calculators include:
- Paint coverage for walls, ceilings, and furniture makeovers.
- Timber and board lengths for shelving, framing, and simple builds.
- Fabric estimates for cushions, curtains, table runners, and basic upholstery.
- Flooring quantities for floating floors, tiles, and rugs (with off-cut allowance).
- Rough estimates for screws, nails, sandpaper sheets, and fillers so you are not caught short mid-project.
We are currently testing formulas against real-world projects to make these tools realistic, not theoretical. Watch this space — the calculator will be rolling out soon.
